My department moved up from the 16th floor to the 17th earlier this
month. It is finally now beginning to take shape. This is the
intersection of 8th avenue and 36th street.

A Ship Sank

Deal or no deal?, originally uploaded by the jonb.

I haven’t posted as photo I didn’t take yet on my blog but this is just to crazy. Apparently a Greek ship called The Ice Prince sank off the coast of southern England and was carrying a cargo of wooden planks that are now washing up on the beaches.

mail truck, originally uploaded by hewins.

I tried to find a picture that I had taken on Jan 23 but this was as close as I could find. I took this with a cell phone I had about three phones ago, four years ago. A mail truck by the Williamsburg post office on S 4th st. This, by the way, is one of the most unpleasant post offices to visit. I bet it’s almost as bad as this one: in the Kensington part of Brooklyn.

This is Huntington Beach on Christmas Eve, 2007. Not too shabby. I’m used to the Boston and New York Christmastime weather and this was a pleasant change. Not a white Christmas, but Hillary and I did get to go to the beach instead.

I just love these shots I took in my old backyard a lot. I need to get out at night with a tripod more often. This one’s a little mysterious, isn’t it?

Full Moon, Sausalito

Full Moon, Sausalito, originally uploaded by hewins.

Hillary and I were back in Sausalito in December of 2007 but I wasn’t able to get another picture like this while we were there. There was a full moon at that time too! The night I tried, it was too cloudy. Next time…
